Series IV SOLAR

The Series IV SOLAR Flame Ionisation Detector product line benefits from 40 years of experience in gas analyser development, and delivers a wide range of leading edge advantages.
 
Accuracy and repeatability
Signal FIDs are unique because of their precision-machined monobloc and ceramic isolated flame jet tip with cylindrical collector and venturi effect air/fuel/sample design. This delivers high levels of accuracy and reproducibility.In addition, sample and gas flow rates are adjusted automatically to optimise analyzer performance.


Remote connectivity

With 3G, 4G, GPRS, Bluetooth, Wifi and satellite compatibility, each Series IV instrument is built with its own IP address and runs on Windows software. As a result, users have simple and secure access to their analyzers at any time, from anywhere, making these instruments ideal for remote sites and for customers with multiple sites. Remote connectivity saves time and money, and creates new possibilities for enhanced reliability. Users (and if requested, Signal’s service engineers) can monitor the status of analyzers remotely, so that timely service interventions can take place when required rather than on a timed schedule. This lowers the cost of ownership and reduces potential downtime.

 

Flexibility
The Series IV analysers have built-in relays which can be easily set by the user to operate calibration valves at the end of a heated line, so that users can choose to calibrate locally or remotely.  These relays can also be used to operate external controls, which means that users can set the instrument to open and close sample line valves. Consequently, a single instrument can be used to monitor lines from both pre- and post-abatement, irrespective of range.

A version for every application

The SOLAR instruments are designed for a standard 19” rack, with a choice of heated or non-heated options. A dual detector version is also available for the simultaneous measurement of total VOCs, methane and non-methane hydrocarbons. The instruments can be operated via a colour touch-screen display; alternatively a non-screen version is available for system integrators. 

A 24V version of the instrument is also available for applications such as Real-world Driving Emissions (RDE) tests.
